“STEP UP REVOLUTION” Movie Review. Jive up to the High-voltage Dancing and Pulse-pounding Music in 3D.
“STEP UP REVOLUTION” PRESS PREVIEW
One look around at the eager attendees who attended the recent Press Preview of “STEP UP REVOLUTION” and you can well tell who’s the target audience.
This ain’t a film for any baby boomer. Not by the long arm.
It’s skewed towards the young and the dandy and is a feature that’s likely to rake better returns at the box office in appreciative Asia rather than in the discerning West.
“STEP UP REVOLUTON” is an arresting film that takes you through a new beathtaking revelation of the Street Dance steps.
It’s hot, with the high-voltage dance scenes and pulse-pounding music.
There’s music, power and passion of dancing that will have you up and moving with the beat of the energetic hip-hop.
If street dance is your thing, then this will surely go down as a treat. The predictable wafer-thin plot is an excuse to bring on the movie and to set it afloat.
It’s shot in 3D and its all about spectacle and you bet no one goes to dance movies just for the plot.
What’s better than seeing dancers alive and in front of you in 3D on the big screen. Right.
The story takes place against the vibrant backdrop of Miami. Emily (Kathryn McCormick) arrives in Miami with aspirations of becoming a professional dancer.
She meets Sean (Ryan Guzman), a young man who leads a dance crew in elaborate, cutting-edge flash mobs, called “The Mob.” They fall in love.
When a wealthy business man (Emily’s father) threatens to develop The Mob’s historic neighborhood and displace thousands of people, Emily must band together with Sean to go against her father and work with The Mob to turn their performance art into protest art.
But things are not as simple as they seem.
Maybe dance purists will not be impressed by the energetic stunts and athletic choreography, but everything’s conjured in the spirit of fun.
Just let your hair down and move with the rhythm of the hip hop street dance.

You bet it's pure bliss if every ARTICLE can also beam like a piece of KOOL deviant art.
I dabble with a colorful tapestry of VISUALS and WORDS to ham my message, to tell the stories in my own way.
A PICTURE radiates a thousand words. For sure.
Herein lies my heartbeat, my soul - offsetting every rhythm and tone, expounding on my private aesthetic world.
STEP RIGHT IN.

IS THIS CHILD REALLY LAUGHING? FILMS DEMONSTRATE THAT LIFE MAY NOT BE WHAT IT SEEMS.
KOOL MISSION (STATEMENT)
I used to be an AD MAN, promoting and positioning BRANDS.
That was the past.
My present life revolves around FILMS.
PEOPLE often ask me - aside from being an EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, why I'd choose to write about ENTERTAINMENT.
My answer is simple.
LIFE imitates and radiates ART, if you care to look.
With the wicked glitz of Hollywood blockbusters, films have a dedication to the viewer, a role to portray.
It’s often easy to overlook the mesmerizing, transformative effect that motion pictures have on the world.
Beyond transporting viewers into new worlds and fantasies, films exercise a definitive didactic power. They shed light on an issue, paint a story and chronicle history.
Films have the persuasive power to cajole, to influence people, to “draw” them into celluloid “situations”, and in doing so, they demonstrate how the world can be changed.
I write about FILMS, therefore I am.
Through the powerful medium of film, you get to “live” the lives of the characters you have always envisioned to emulate - from the reel to the real, and vice-versa.
