MOVIE PREVIEW

This is a horrific atmospheric film directed by Tom Harper.

He’s good but he can be even better, had he quicken the pace of the movie.

Attached are selected visuals to appease the curious aesthetic mind. And to bring on the chills.

The rhythm and tone is creepy throughout, so stay braced.

Plot line:

When a group of orphaned children are forced to vacate from their comfortable home in London, caretakers Eve (Phoebe Fox) and Jean (Helen McCrory) bring the kids to the sprawling and eerie British countryside as an alternative.

40 years after Arthur Kipps (played by Daniel Radcliffe in the first film “The Woman in Black” left the scene, this supernatural horror film introduces a new gawky group to the now abandoned Eel Marsh House, supposedly a safe location.

It isn’t long before Eve starts to sense that this house is not what it appears to be, as the children in her care begin to disappear mysteriously.

As their house of safety relegates to become a house of horrors, Eve enlists the help of a handsome pilot (Jeremy Irvine) to help investigate the spooky chain of events.

Eve soon discovers that it may not be a sheer coincidence that she has come to reside in the house, once inhabited by the Woman in Black.

 Spoilers stop here.

If you wish to learn more about this creepy film, then catch it your local cinema for the answers.
